At TAS, we believe our success is driven as much by our people as our technology. Our “meet the team” series showcases some of the talent and expertise within our family. For this installment, we talked to our Client Solutions Specialist, Amy Beals.
What does a typical day look like?
My clients decide! From answering calls, to navigating emails, resolving minor issues, escalating major issues and coordinating remote sessions between clients and the TAS team – I help with everything! I’m often the first line of assistance when clients have an issue so I like to be upbeat and helpful.
What do you love about your role?
I wear all the hats! I love training. I enjoy making videos to empower my clients to make their own changes. I get a good working knowledge of my client’s needs and work with them and the TAS team to build environments that allow them to get the most done with the least effort. Occasionally, I even get to be a hero.
All things TAS are made to be expanded upon. I am happy to be involved in helping a client identify a workflow then working with the TAS team to integrate tools to streamline processes and procedures.
I love customer service; I have been working in client facing customer service for over 20 years. I had a southern grandmother growing up who regularly told me that catching flies is easier with honey. I find that when I work to understand a client’s issues, their frustrations, and their priorities, I have a much easier time getting them what they are looking for in a timely manner
Why did you choose to join TAS?
I love working for an entrepreneurial, growing company, I get the sense of family that can be hard to cultivate in a larger company with constantly shifting teammates. I feel that I have built solid relationships with all the people here while learning about the product, real estate strategies, data, and data management.
One of the things that continues to draw me to TAS is the ease of learning. There is no one person who knows everything - everyone is willing to share what they know with everyone else. It is a fast-paced environment that requires a commitment to clients and teammates to achieve.
What do you think are the greatest challenges and opportunities in the retail sector?
In my opinion, the greatest challenge to the retail sector is staying relevant in an ever-changing landscape. Finding the right location, within the right neighborhood, surrounded by the right population, can be hard work. Luckily, TAS is here to help with retail analytics and a proven track record of success, we can help a brand, franchise or company envision and carry out their real estate goals.
Where do you see the retail markets heading?
With the e-commerce evolving every day, retail markets will need to get creative to survive. I know some retail chains are adopting a delivery model, some are putting together curb side pickup options, and still others are allowing customers to ring up their own items to eliminate cashiers and boost their bottom lines. It’s exciting to see where the future of retail is heading and how companies will adapt to their environments to best serve their customers in the months and years ahead.
