TAS Mobile Update – November 2019

This latest update to TAS Mobile is a big one! Here are all the new features as well as tools updates that are now available in the latest version of the app.

Sign In moved to the TAS Mobile splash screen

In previous versions of TAS Mobile, the Sign In page was available in the menu after the app loaded. To make it easier for our users, signing into TAS Mobile now happens on the splash screen, or a user may continue as a guest to use the free version.

Restore session using biometrics. Log in once and then use your fingerprint or face for continued use of the app.

Users may restore their session in TAS Mobile using biometric authentication on compatible iOS and Android devices. Quickly get into TAS Mobile after setting up fingerprint or facial recognition on your device.

TAS Mobile works with your device localization.

In our initial launch of TAS Mobile with device localization, the interface will display in the following languages:

  • English
  • Spanish
  • French
  • Italian
  • Portuguese
  • Japanese
  • Indonesian
  • Malay

If your device language is set to Spanish, the TAS Mobile’s feature and tool texts will display in Spanish! This is just the start of localization in TAS Mobile, and we will continue to add languages in future updates.

Improved Driving Directions and access to third party driving direction apps: Waze, Google Maps, Apple Maps

Driving Directions in TAS Mobile are completely overhauled. In previous versions, users could get directions between a start and one destination. Now, add multiple destinations and build out directions for a whole site tour.

Ready to drive? Jump from TAS Mobile into your favorite navigation app installed on your device.

Toggle a Source layer’s group visibility from the Legend. Toggle a Thematic’s labels on/off from the Legend.

In the Legend, we added configuration options for Source custom query layers as well as Thematic layers. In the custom query, show/hide the symbology groups (i.e. toggle visibility of chains from the map).  For thematics, if the layer is configured with labels, users can show/hide the labels on the map within the Edit menu of the theme.
