What’s New in TAS Online: Map Books and GeoFeeds

We’re excited to announce the release of some exciting new enhancements to TAS Online: Map Books and GeoFeeds! These features are available immediately to all TAS Online users.

Map Books

This time-saving feature allows you to create a single pdf containing any number of maps, demographic reports, and point detail reports for up to 50 locations with a single click of the mouse. For example, you can create a Map Book which will contain the following:

  1. A zoomed in map showing the site with an aerial
  2. A map with a 10 minute drive time showing competition and median household income
  3. A demographic summary report for a 1, 2, and 5-mile radius
  4. A list of all competitors within 3 miles

The output will be delivered in a single pdf with bookmarks for each item. If you find yourself creating the same content over and over again (such as Real Estate Packages) then MapBooks will be your new best friend. Who says you can’t be more productive in less time? Not us!

GeoFeeds

We rebuilt our GeoFeed implementation, greatly improved the support for KML, and added support for GML and GPX file formats. This tool is a great way to incorporate data that is available for free from several public sources. The sample below shows a KML feed containing data for the 2016 California wildfires.

What’s next? We have one more major release of TAS Online coming in late December, so stay tuned.
